Brandon and Patricia are in need of sponsors

The holidays are fast approaching and some of you are thinking, that this just isn't a good time to be talking to you about sponsoring children. After all, you have a Thanksgiving meal to plan and you don't even want to get started about how the stores have brought out the Christmas decorations and they're already playing Christmas music on the radio and you haven't even bought the first present yet. And I know that times are tough right now, trust me, I'm right there with you. But think about this for a moment, if times are tough for us, how much tougher is it for these little children?

The children that I am talking to you about aren't thinking about gorging themselves on Thanksgiving turkey and pumpkin pie, because they have no idea what it's even like to NOT be hungry. They are not making up Christmas lists and hoping they'll get everything they asked for. Instead, they're wondering if they will even get to eat today and are convinced that nobody cares whether they live or die. It is within your ability to change all of that.

Last year, my family and I decided (through a campaign that was started in my church) to take half of what we normally spend on Christmas and to put it towards a child in need. That's how we began sponsoring Langeng from Indonesia. We sat with our children and explained to them that this year we were going to set aside some of our wants and desires and help a child with their most basic needs like food, clothing, education, medical care and to be taught that Jesus loves them too. What better way to teach your children about giving during the Christmas season, then to completely change the world of a child and providing them with not only nourishing food to eat, but opportunities that they would not otherwise have if it wasn't for you. Think about that for a minute while you read about these two children that currently need sponsors.

Claudia Patricia Herrera Zelaya (left) is a 7-year-old girl who lives in Honduras. Her birthday is on June 11, 2002 and she lives in a single parent home with her mother. Patricia's duties are running errands and cleaning her household. Her mother is currently employed as a laborer and there are 4 children in the family. For fun, Patricia enjoys playing with dolls, playing hide-and-seek and other group games. She attends church activities and Bible class regularly and is in kindergarten where her performance is above average. What a smart little girl she is!

Brandon Leonidas Mero Ogonaga (right) is a 6-year-old little boy from Ecuador who is about to have a birthday very soon! He will be turning 7 on November 24th. What a wonderful birthday present that this would be if someone were to sponsor him today! How excited he would be! Brandon lives with his father and his mother. He is responsible for running errands and cleaning. His father is sometimes employed as a laborer and his mother maintains the home. There are 4 children in the family. As part of Compassion's ministry, Brandon participates in church activities. He is also in primary school where his performance is above average (another smart little cookie). Soccer, playing ball games and running are his favorite activities.

Compassion will provide for their physical, social, economic and spiritual needs, but they need your help to do that. All it takes is $38/month to provide for their most basic needs. Your child will write to you and color pictures for you. They will know who you are by name. You can also write letters back to them and send them pictures of you and your family. These little children love receiving letters from their sponsors because it shows them that somebody really does care about what happens to them. It has been shown that a child who receives at least two letters from their sponsor per year does 5 times better in school. So would you consider sponsoring one of these children today? Would you like to be the one to change this child's life forever? If so, send me a personal message here on FB and begin changing the world, one child at a time.

3 children in need of a sponsor (1 sponsored 2 expired. see message below)

Brigida Villcacuti (left) was sponsored by THS Christian club. Thanks guys! You ROCK! The other two child packets have expired. Unfortunately, I only have 6 weeks from the time I receive a child packet to find a sponsor for that child. If I am unable to find a sponsor for a child, the packet then gets mailed back to Compassion Int. But if you were considering sponsoring these children and just missed the deadline, don't worry, there is still hope! You can contact Compassion at 1-800-336-7676 from 7am - 5pm MT and ask if Babul Dey (middle) from Bangledesh and/or Geraldine Rocio Marino Santos (right) from Colombia are still available.

I have on hand 3 children who are in need of a sponsor.

The first one is a 15-year-old girl from Bolivia. her name is Brigida Villcacuti (left) and she was born on May 17,1994. In her home, Brigida helps by carrying water, caring for animals and making beds. She lives with her father and her mother. Her father is sometimes employed and her mother is sometimes employed. There are 5 children in the family. As part of Compassion's ministry, Brigida participates in church activities, Bible class and Vacation Bible school. She is in middle school where her performance is average. She loves to sing, listen to music, and play ball games.

I also have a 9-year-old little boy from Bangladesh. His name is Babul Dey (middle) and he was born on May 30,2000. Babul lives with his father and his mother. He is responsible for buying or selling in the market. His father is sometimes employed as a seller in the market and his mother maintains the home. There are 3 children in the family. Soccer is Babul's favorite activity. In primary school his performance is average and he also regularly attends Bible class.

And finally, I have a 10-year-old little girl from Colombia. Her name is Geraldine Rocio Marino Santos (right) and she was born on June 17, 1999. Geraldine lives with her father and her mother. Her duties at home include caring for children, making beds and running errands. There are 3 children in the family. Her father is sometimes employed and her mother maintains the home. As part of Compassion's ministry, Geraldine participates in church activities, Bible class and Vacation Bible School. She is also in primary school where her performance is above average. Singing, playing house and reading are her favorite activities.

Would you consider sponsoring any of these children today? It's only $38/month. More than 80% of that goes towards your child and all that will provide for their clothing, nutritious food, education, medical check-ups and inoculations. They will also have a safe place to grow and play and most importantly they will be taught about Jesus. They will know who you are by name and will write letters for you and color pictures for you. You can also write letter back to him and send him pictures of yourself or of you and your family. Believe me when I say that this is completely worth it.

Keep in mind, that you won't be signing any contracts. Your sponsorship is from month to month. If for whatever reason you are no longer able to sponsor any of these children, then you can just let Compassion know, and they will put your child at the top of the list to try to find them another sponsor immediately. So what do you say? Are you willing to sponsor any of these children today?

If you are interested in sponsoring any of these children today, please email me at sweetpea7797@gmail.com.

Caro Nduta Syomiti and Efrain Lima (Packets expired. See message below.)

Unfortunately, I only have 6 weeks from the time I receive a child packet to find a sponsor for that child. If I am unable to find a sponsor for a child, the packet then gets mailed back to Compassion Int. But if you were considering sponsoring these child and just missed the deadline, don't worry, there is still hope! You can contact Compassion at 1-800-336-7676 from 7am - 5pm MT and ask if Caro Nduta Syomiti from Kenya and/or Efrain Lima from Bolivia are still available.

I have another little boy and girl who are in need of a sponsor. Both of these children only live with their mother. Neither of their fathers are in the home. I don't know why their fathers do not live in the home, Compassion does not reveal that information out of respect for the families. But maybe you are a single mom and you heart goes out to this single mom who even though she struggles, her children are still starving and you would like to help. Or maybe you are a dad and you would like to be like a father to these children through sponsoring them. Whatever the case may be, if there is ANY possible way that you can sacrifice $38 a month so that these children can be fed, given necessary medical treatment, given a chance at a good education so that they can break this cycle of poverty and be taught about Jesus Christ. Then I hope that you will look at these two children and seriously consider sponsoring either one or both of these little children.

Caro Nduta Syomiti (left) is a 7-year-old girl from Kenya which is an AIDS infected area. I do not know if she has AIDS herself or if that may be a reason why her father is not in the home. But because I sponsor a girl who lives in an AIDS infected area, I do know that if you sponsor her she will receive any medical treatment she may need if she does have AIDS, and if she does not have they will educate her about prevention. She was born on Jan 15, 2002. In her home, Caro helps by carrying water and gathering firewood. Her mother is sometiems employed as a farmer. There are 3 children in the family. For fun, Caro enjoys art and playing ball games. She attends church activities regularly and is in primary school where her performance is average.

Efrain Lima (right) is a 5-year-old little boy from Bolivia. He was born on May 04, 2004. At home, duties include cleaning. His mother is sometimes employed. There are 6 children in the family. Efrain is not attending school because he is too young. Considering that he just turned 5, he will probably be able to start in the fall. Playing with cars is his favorite activity. He also attends church activities regularly.

I hope that you will consider sponsoring one of these children. They really do need your help. It's only $38/month. You will receive letters from them. You can write back them to them. They will know who you are by name. They will color pictures for you. You will receive updated photos of them and you can send photos to them as well. If you think about it, $38 a month really isn't that much when you consider the impact that you will have on this child and their family. What do you say? Will you sponsor Caro or Efrain today?

You can contact Compassion at 1-800-336-7676 from 7am - 5pm MT and ask if Sarita Tamang from India is still available.

Sarita is a 10-year-old girl from India. Her birthday is on December 15, 1999. She lives with her father and her mother. Because of your sponsorship, Sarita will have new opportunities to learn and grow physically, mentally, and spiritually. This is a one-on-one sponsorship program, so you would be her only sponsor. Yanick Gouwendpoulmde Sawadogo (Packet expired. See message below.)

Unfortunately, I only have 6 weeks from the time I receive a child packet to find a sponsor for that child. If I am unable to find a sponsor for a child, the packet then gets mailed back to Compassion Int. But if you were considering sponsoring this child and just missed the deadline, don't worry, there is still hope! You can contact Compassion at 1-800-336-7676 from 7am - 5pm MT and ask if Yanick Gouwendpoulmde Sawadogo from Burkina Faso is still available.

Compassion has always held as a sacred trust the stewardship of sponsorship funds. We receive consistently high ratings as a charity you can trust to do with your money what we say we will do (check charitynavigator.com and put in Compassion International in their search engine to see for yourself).
I know it seems like I am asking a lot during an economy where times are difficult. But if times are difficult for us, just imagine how difficult it is for these children who are trapped in a life of poverty? They need your help. Without you, they have no hope of breaking this cycle of poverty that they are in. That is why I am asking if there is any way, any way at all, for you to be able to sacrifice $38 a month, would you be willing to sponsor a child today? Are there any non-necessities that you are willing to do without so that a child will not have to go another day without knowing that someone actually cares about them, or food, medical care, and educational opportunities?
This is a one-on-one sponsorship program, so you would be their only sponsor. They will know who you are by name. Write letters to you. Color pictures for you. And there are NO CONTRACTS TO SIGN. This is strictly month-to-month if for whatever reason you cannot afford to sponsor them any longer. What do you say? Would you be willing to sponsor a child today?

I have a 6-year-old little boy who needs a sponsor. Yanick Gouwendpoulmde Sawadogo was born on December 19, 2002. He lives with his father and his mother in Burkina Faso which is one of the poorest coutries in Africa. It is also an HIV/AIDS infected area. I don't know if he has HIV/AIDS that informatin is not given out in respect to the family. But I do know this. With your sponsorship, he will be given ALL necassary medical treatment that he will require. In Yanick's home, he is responsible for carrying water and running errands. His father is sometimes employed as a farmer. There are 4 children in the family. Yanick is not attending school right now. Soccer, hide-and-seek and playing group games are his favorite activities. He also attends Bible class and youth group regularly. If you choose to sponsor him, your money will go to provide him with food, clothing, medical treatment, his education and most importantly, he will be taught about Jesus. What do you say? Would you be willing to step up and show Yanick that you care by personally sponsoring him today?

I sponsor 3 children myself. It hasn't always been easy and I have had to sacrifice some things to be able to do it. So you can trust me when I tell you that every time I receive one of those precious letters in the mail, it makes it all worth it. I hope you will take the leap and consider sponsoring a child today. Believe me. It is TOTALLY worth it, 1000%.
